Revisiting Jerseylicious: A UK Fan’s Honest Reflections
Growing up in the UK, Jerseylicious was one of those shows I watched religiously as a teenager. Now, as an adult, I’ve found myself strolling down memory lane, rewatching episodes and reflecting on the cast, the drama, and the dynamics that shaped the show. With fresh eyes and a bit more life experience, I wanted to share my thoughts on the key players—what I admired, what made me cringe, and what I’ve come to understand better.
Feel free to share your own thoughts—constructive feedback is always welcome!
Olivia: The Creative Firecracker
I liked Olivia then, and I still do.
- Strengths: She had vibrant energy, creativity (G2G!), and killer dance moves. Even when criticized, she bounced back with flair.
- Weaknesses: Lateness and emotional bottling were recurring issues. She’d block people instead of talking things through—something I personally relate to. She partied hard, sometimes lied (especially in seasons 5–6), and made questionable choices like dating Tracy’s ex and kicking her in the head. Production may have played a role, but she still made those choices.
Tracy: The Loyal Fighter
I liked Tracy back then, and now I’m a bit more conflicted.
- Strengths: Fiercely loyal, spiritually grounded, and always evolving her look. Her speaking voice was a standout.
- Weaknesses: As an adult, I now see that violence is never okay. She often seemed to undermine Olivia’s friendships and rushed into marriage without her parents’ blessing. At times, she appeared jealous of Olivia’s opportunities and never gave a clear reason for their fallout.
Gigi: The Traditionalist with Style
I didn’t mind Gigi back then, but I’ve noticed some flaws.
- Strengths: She valued family, especially around Tracy’s wedding, and had a lovely bond with her mother. Her season 6 look was my favorite.
- Weaknesses: Boy-crazy, easily influenced, and overly focused on Frankie (possibly due to production). I don’t think she was jealous of Tracy’s wedding, but she may have felt sidelined.
Briella: The Free Spirit
I didn’t like her back then, but I’m okay with her now.
- Strengths: Nature-loving, funny, and a foodie.
- Weaknesses: Her loyalty shifted easily—being friends with Tracy in season 2 felt off. Quitting Glam Factory during Alexa’s wedding was hurtful.
Miguel: The Glam Guru
I didn’t think much of him back then, but now I see more.
- Strengths: Talented in makeup and hair, stylish, and a great dancer.
- Weaknesses: His sudden friendship with Tracy was surprising. He came across as gossipy and attention-seeking.
Anthony, Gayle & Christie: The Business Brains
- Strengths: They understood the show’s core trio and promoted their business well.
- Weaknesses: Sometimes attention-seeking, especially Anthony. Knowing now that the girls didn’t actually work for them, it makes sense why they didn’t intervene in the drama.
Corey & Frankie: Fame vs. Family
I loved Frankie’s family—especially his dad.
- Frankie seemed to have a short temper and often played the victim.
- Corey was definitely involved with multiple cast members behind the scenes. He seemed fame-hungry and found Tracy, who genuinely wanted love. I do believe he loved her—they had three beautiful children and stayed married for seven years. Still, he gossiped a lot and encouraged Tracy’s aggression.
Doria & Jackie: The Tough Love Duo
Doria felt like a strict auntie—always nitpicking—but I think that was production’s doing. I actually love her now.
Jackie saying Olivia’s tears were fake was harsh. Befriending your enemy so quickly says a lot. I think Jackie felt left out—many new mothers experience that.
Alexa: The Heart of Glam Fairy
Her ex-husband seemed fame-hungry—he was an executive producer of Glam Fairy, and his proposal felt off.
Alexa herself is creative, intelligent, and always stood up for the girls. She has a forgiving heart but was clearly yearning for love.
Cathy & Filipo: Family First
Everyone has their preferences, and mine is that I wouldn’t support my child posing half-nude—but that’s just me.
Aside from that, I loved their close-knit family. Cathy is an amazing mother, and Filipo is now married with children.
Final Thoughts
Let me know if I missed anyone! Thanks so much for reading my long opinion—I really appreciate it. Whether you loved the drama or rolled your eyes at the chaos, Jerseylicious definitely left its mark.
